Borris House is open to the public on the following days:
July – 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th, and 31st.
August – 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th – 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th.
September – 3rd.
Tours are scheduled for 1 pm and 2 pm and cost €10.00 per person. Entry includes the house and chapel tour, and access to the granary, looped film, lace garden, and wider grounds.
An entry fee of just €5.00 permits access to the granary to see the looped film of the history of Borris House, the lace garden and wider grounds. For larger groups please contact 087 245 4791.
Borris House is a uniquely Irish Big House and as such is of great importance to Ireland’s history and heritage. The tour engagingly and comprehensively covers the history of Borris House and the fascinating stories and historic figures associated with it.
Tickets can be bought at the gift shop in the gate lodge of Borris House on the main street of Borris Village.
The shop is an emporium which sells beautiful objects, such as jewellery, felt work, leatherwork, ceramics, cards, and all manner of wonderful gifts, all locally handcrafted.
